Can't connect to EU servers after the 9.4 update

Getting a timeout on connect to every EU server since the 9.4 update pushed last night. I was mid-session when the client updated automatically, the server disconnected, and nothing has successfully connected since. I have tried verifying files, clearing the MTA cache folder, reinstalling the client DLL, and disabling my firewall entirely. None of it changed anything.

Ping to the server IPs from a terminal is normal, so this does not appear to be a routing problem on my end. The connection stalls at roughly 40 percent through the loading bar, which from what I can find online suggests the stall is happening during the server-side handshake rather than the initial TCP connection. That points to something in the new anti-cheat validation step introduced in 9.4, but I could be wrong.

System specs: Windows 11, Ryzen 5 5600X, 16 GB RAM, 500 Mbps fibre connection. Everything ran fine on 9.3 the day before the update. If any other EU players are hitting the same wall, please reply so staff know this is not isolated to one machine. If there is a known workaround I have missed, please share it below.

Same issue here in the Netherlands. Verified files, reinstalled the client DLL, still timing out at the same point in the loading bar. It feels like it stalls at the server-side handshake rather than the initial TCP connection. If other EU players are hitting this too it is worth flagging as a possible anti-cheat regression from the patch.

Not hitting this in the UK on a different ISP. Could be certain ISPs filtering traffic that matches the new anti-cheat protocol fingerprint. If you have a VPN available, try connecting through that. If it resolves it, your ISP is blocking something new from 9.4.

Checked the Discord support channel just now. Staff posted an update about 20 minutes ago. They are aware, a hotfix is in testing, expected out within 24 hours. Hang tight.
